Time to revamp our dated, tired garden, we were not enjoying it and sitting in it felt most uncomfortable.
The so-called flowers sat in a border at the bottom of the garden, with no natural movement and bad growth, with a ragged circle lawn in the middle, a small patio area that was too hot with no shade, for much of the space is south facing. We initially had a quote and design from a different company but felt extremely let down with the design, it was not what we had discussed at all. We decided to do more research. Finally, after several months we found Nicki and Jules and we are so glad we did.

Nicki was professional from the start and throughout, explaining how the design process worked. We had several zoom meetings, discussing things we particularly wanted in our garden, a Gazebo, a bar, a decent size patio area for entertaining friends, flowers to attract nature and colours. We gave Nicki and Jules a free rein to design it how they saw fit. We did not feel rushed or pressured in anyway and were kept up to date at every stage.

We were offered two different designs, we were wowed by both, it was a difficult choice, our chosen design has blown us away, we couldn’t be happier, it incorporated all the things we hoped for, I joked ‘we had had our Titmarsh moment’. Nicki and Jules took great care with the design and planting, the plants were new and exciting and have constantly attracted many varieties of good insects and we have lots of movement in the wind. We have found ourselves now constantly sitting in our new garden, enjoying it and feeling extremely relaxed.

I moved into a new build house with a blank canvas with limited gardening knowledge of where to start which was somewhat overwhelming.

Nicki spent time getting to know my likes and dislikes, level of gardening knowledge and time I had to spend on the garden. Nicki presented two beautiful designs and was flexible giving options based on my budget. Nicki sourced the extras; lights, pergola, screens and even found the perfect posh shed.

Design to installation went really smoothly. Nicki sourced the landscapers, Mark and Adam were excellent and left the site clean and tidy every day. Steve, from Blue Daisy, did a fantastic job planting and mulching. I’m very pleased with the final result, the garden is blooming and I’m enjoying sitting in the garden, enjoying the sunshine, looking at the flowers, butterflies and bees.

We had a garden that was tired, lots of grass, with shrubs round the borders, and lots of bits that needed changing. It got to the point, we didn’t want to spend any time in the garden, all we did was weed, mow and prune and then we would go inside. We wanted to update it and make it work for us and we looked for a whole new design. As a major investment we wanted someone who would understand and listen to us. We had seen Nicki’s articles in a local magazine and contacted her. She was professional from the start. She explained the process and the pricing from the start. She has been amazing, spending time with us, listening and coming up with a plan that met all our desires and budget. She oversaw the process and supported us to go at our own pace, in stages that suited us.

Nicki took great care with the planting design, thinking of texture, colour, planting and garden use and in the planting plan, some of the plants are familiar and are old friends, some are new and are exciting as the garden grows and we will learn their pace and style. The garden now meets all of our needs, it has become a place to relax in after work, we spend time in the garden at the weekend, when it is raining we can sit in the kitchen and watch the plants, the insects have come back quickly and we now spend more time in the garden. Our interest in gardening has revived and it has been a therapeutic change that will continue to be a stress reliever and a hobby for many years to come. We can’t wait to see how the plants grow and the garden matures and will be contacting Nicki for advice and after support in the future.

It has been a pleasure working with Nicki Jackson of Blue Daisy and we're very pleased with the end result. When we moved in to our new home the garden was very neglected, dark and gloomy and so we contacted 3 different garden designers for some ideas. We selected Blue Daisy to do our design because Nicki was so enthusiastic and could see great potential in our garden. She looked at it as a "blank canvas" and discussed with us our likes and dislikes and what we would like to see in our finished design. She produced good preliminary drawings for discussion and then gave us the final plan. Whilst my husband and I had an amateur interest in gardening; when we moved to our new house with an overgrown, very “child un-friendly”, 90 foot garden, we quickly realised that we needed some professional help to create a space that would work for the whole family. Originally, we were just looking for some advice on where to start, but upon spending an hour with Nicki, we had committed to commissioning a full garden design as we felt comfortable that Nicki would work well with us.

We had a big wish list and an even longer list of likes and dislikes yet Nicki somehow managed to accommodate these and came up with a concept that we could never have dreamt up by ourselves. She arranged quotes for us and met with the Landscaper regularly throughout the build to ensure that all was progressing as planned. Whilst we have only completed Phase 1 of the build and will complete the patio next year, the garden already looks amazing and everyone comments about how great it looks. Having a lovely garden is like having an extra room and we have used it more in the last couple of months than we have in the last couple of years.

I came from Japan to take Nicki Jackson's basic garden design course. Before I attended the class I was a little worried about language barrier or my lack of knowledge but Nicki was kind and patient.

We’ve used Blue Daisy services for many years and it’s been a great way to give us that extra bit of support we need to keep our garden looking lovely. We’ve had a regular fortnightly gardeners to help with maintenance jobs, and then one-off projects such as a new tree supplied and planted, and some borders renovated and re-stocked. They’ve also been able to help with supplying and digging in soil improver and spring bulbs as we’ve been adding to the borders. The team are always friendly and helpful, and Nicki’s always been on hand to help with our gardening questions! Great service would definitely recommend.

Everything is looking really nice this year; in fact my garden has never, in 26 years, been such an array of blooms.

I would like to congratulate Nicki and her team for all their hard work recently undertaken in our front garden. They cleared the area, removed weeds, added new topsoil, planted shrubs, perennials and dressed the border with bark. They worked professionally, and with skill and attention to detail, transforming our garden from a lawned area to a beautifully landscaped, colour co-ordinated delight, filled with perennials and shrubs for low maintenance.
