We had a garden that was tired, lots of grass, with shrubs round the borders, and lots of bits that needed changing. It got to the point, we didn’t want to spend any time in the garden, all we did was weed, mow and prune and then we would go inside. We wanted to update it and make it work for us and we looked for a whole new design. As a major investment we wanted someone who would understand and listen to us. We had seen Nicki’s blog in the Your Call magazine and contacted her. She was professional from the start. She explained the process and the pricing from the start. She has been amazing, spending time with us, listening and coming up with a plan that met all our desires and budget. She oversaw the process and supported us to go at our own pace, in stages that suited us.
Nicki took great care with the planting design, thinking of texture, colour, planting and garden use and in the planting plan, some of the plants are familiar and are old friends, some are new and are exciting as the garden grows and we will learn their pace and style. The garden now meets all of our needs, it has become a place to relax in after work, we spend time in the garden at the weekend, when it is raining we can sit in the kitchen and watch the plants, the insects have come back quickly and we now spend more time in the garden. Our interest in gardening has revived and it has been a therapeutic change that will continue to be a stress reliever and a hobby for many years to come. We can’t wait to see how the plants grow and the garden matures and will be contacting Nicki for advice and after support in the future.
